We Film Blackpool
We Film Blackpool

Our Community interest statement

1. Introduction:

We Film Blackpool C.I.C aims to support the growth of Blackpool’s creative industries with a focus on supporting young, up and coming, and independent filmmakers within the Blackpool and Fylde areas, alongside offering a platform for them to communicate, learn, and have their voices heard.

2. Statement of Need:

Although Blackpool has a rich history within the creative industries including theatre, music, and performance, there is currently a lack of opportunity and structure within the film industry. Although local education institutes including universities and colleges offer a range of qualifications in the industry, this talent is often then encouraged to move to the larger film industry ‘hubs’ of London and Manchester, taking vital talent skill away from the local area. There is a clear requirement for improved filmmaking services, facilities, and opportunities, to support local filmmaking creatives, and to enable them to support the wider creative communities of Blackpool and the Fylde.

3. Activities and Services:

We Film Blackpool C.I.C aims to deliver on its community interest goals through the provision of a number of activities and services not limited to;
